National Group Song Competition
ദേശീയ ഗാനമേള മത്സരം — സംസ്ഥാനതല മത്സരം
NGSC inculcates patriotism and moral values among students through group singing of patriotic songs. School teams from Class 6 to 12 present three songs — in Hindi, Sanskrit and Malayalam — before a panel of judges at the state level competition.

Malayalam
A patriotic or folk song of the team's choice.
Eligibility for higher rounds is decided on the aggregate marks of the Hindi and Sanskrit songs.

How teams are judged
Rules
- • Each song must be completed within 7 minutes.
- • Team of 6–8 students from Class 6 to 12, boys and girls.
- • Up to 3 instrumentalists; electric or battery-operated instruments are not allowed.
- • One teacher must accompany the team.
- • The decision of the judges is final.
